Douchebag

"Robert Novak is a douchebag of liberty" -John Stewart-

To follow my last post about Novak is sent to the Nursing Home after vomiting "Bullshit" in CNN, I found many liberal blogs call him a "Douchebag". I want to know what the meaning of Douchebag is, so I consult the urbandictionary.com. These are some definitions I found very hilarious.

1. douchebag

1. An object used for vaginal hygeine.
2. A student or instructor at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.

2. douchebag

Someone who has surpassed the levels of jerk and asshole, however not yet reached fucker or motherfucker.

3. douchebag

noun: one who goes above and beyond the qualities of an asshole; a dead-beat dad; a sociopathic loser who is obsessed with Motley Crue and still stuck in the 80s; someone who cannot have a conversation without screaming and/or using the word "fuck"; one who suffers from "small penis syndrome"

4. douchebag

A description that fits nearly every teenager who conforms monotonously to popular culture. Often known for their tendency to have low individuality and severe intolerance for those that exhibit different behavior. Note: The best location to study the ridiculous patterns of douchebags is your local mall.

5. douchebag

1.someone who is unnecesarily stupid and acts without thinking, or in many cases is incapable of having concious thoughts.
2. someone who does really gay things for attention
3. something that cleans poontangs

6. douchebag

A skank ass bitch whose cunt can only be compared to an inflatable raft. We are talking when rag season comes around, it takes a telephone pole to plug that bitch up...she needs a hygenic device to cleanse herself...this is a douchebag...

7. douchebag

Originally meant an instrument used by females to clean the vagina. Now it has come to mean an unpleasant, idiotic or Jewish person.

CNN Let Bob Novak Have a Long Vacation in the Nursing Home

Remember Bob Novak? The right winger who leaked the name of the CIA agent, Valerie Plame, to the media to discredit her husband who was bashing Bush of lying to the American people about the Iraq War, lost self-control in the Inside Politics on CNN yesterday. During the discussion with James Carville about Catherine Harris’s make up (her blue eye shadow) and her running for Senate, he got so upset when Carville accused him of trying to act tough to please the right wingers. “Bullshit” was the word that Novak threw out before he walked out of the show.

I was so surprised when I saw that happened on the show.

CNN was pretty upset with his inconsideration of vomiting that word in front of the national TV. So, CNN decided to send Bob Novak to the nursing home to fix his mouth for a while.

This is a script.

HENRY: And the "Strategy Session" continues on INSIDE POLITICS. Still here: James Carville and Robert Novak.

Katherine Harris made a name for her self during the Florida recount in the 2000 presidential race. She was then today about this decision, is Bill Nelson and Jay Leno. I mean --
Florida's secretary of state. She went on to the House of Representatives.

Now she wants to move over to the United States Senate. Today she got the news that the speaker of the Florida House won't challenge her for the Republican nomination. In the meantime, Harris is blaming unnamed newspapers for tarnishing her image by doctoring her makeup with Photoshop. -- that computer program. Bob Novak, have you been investigating this make-up story?

NOVAK: No, but I've had the same experience that she did. A lot of my trouble in the world is that they've doctored my make-up and colorized me in a lot of newspapers on my picture. So, I sympathize with her.

HENRY: This is breaking news. I've haven't heard this.

CARVILLE: Breaking news. Who did it? What paper?

NOVAK: Well, I don't. I can't tell you.

CARVILLE: Yes. You know the two happiest people in America

HENRY: Bill Nelson the Democratic Senator.

CARVILLE: The Democratic Senator and Jay Leno. That -- I mean, they're going to go nuts over this. They're messing with my make-up, but you really don't know who it is. I mean, let's say this: She's going to be good for the humor circuit. She's going to be good for the speech circuit and she's good for a lot. And I think that Nelson -- I think, it's probably no secret that the White House wanted the speaker to run and I suspect that the Nelson people are, you know, feeling pretty good here today.

NOVAK: A couple of points here: The first place, don't be too sure she's going to lose. All the establishment's against her and I've seen these Republican -- anti-establishment candidates who do pretty well. Ronald Reagan, I guarantee you that the establishment wasn't for him. We just elected a senator from Oklahoma, Senator Tom Coburn, everybody in the establishment was against him. She might get elected -- So, wait. Just let me finish what I'm going to say, James. Please, I know you hate to hear me, but you have...

CARVILLE: He's got to show these right wingers that he's got backbone. Show them you're tough.

NOVAK: Well, I think that's bullshit. And I hate that. Just let it go.

...
[much later]
HENRY: Thanks, James Carville. And I'm sorry as well that Bob Novak obviously left the set a little early. I had told him in advance that we were going to ask him about the CIA leak case. He was not here for me to be able to ask him about that. Hopefully we'll be able to ask him about that in the future.

Fortunately he did not bear his sagging tits in front of the national TV, that would be more upset to the audiences.

Gay, Gym and ….Steam Room

I have been working out for three days straight now. Even though my body was sore from helping my friend moving, I still manage to drag myself to the gym everyday and work out even harder.

I feel like a robot now. My body is so tight. I cannot even scratch my back now.

After rigorously working out, steam room is the best place to relax those torn muscles. I sometimes go work out at Crunch on 59th St. and 2nd Ave. because it has a steam room. However, this time it was closed. I was not sure if it was closed for a renovation reason or something else but I saw a sign at the door said, “Please keep your tower on at all time. Our staff will strictly enforce this rule”.

I did not see it last week. So I guess something might have happened there since my last visit.

I was pretty surprised if what I assumed did happen because this gym is pretty like a straight people territory. Also, it is located uptown not in Chelsea.

However, I have experienced a couple exciting moments there before. One evening, while four gym bunnies (including me) were sitting in the steam room, a young cute mixed Latino and Asian came into the room. He landed his cute butt beside me. I noticed that every time when he moved his foot, his foot always gently touched my foot. The first time I thought it was accident, then the second time and the third time. Still I was not sure because he looked so straight. Then he went out taking a shower and came back. This time he stood in front of me and kept staring at me. That’s it!! I told myself. I would not let him go without teaching him some lessons.

Men are pigs, I meant cute pigs. Gay men are fatter but more fabulous pigs. They are fans of the song- Heaven is a Place on Earth by Belinda Carlise. They can turn every space in this world to be their heaven- steam rooms, parks, back rooms, gyms, docks, piers, you name it.

Steam room at Crunch in Soho is just re-opened again. It is good and very cozy. I heard some stories but never seen it. The one in Broadway/Lafayette has been shut down since I started working out in Crunch 3 years ago. The sign “This facility is closed down by the Health Department” makes me realize how intense of gay guys can be after working out.

The shower rooms here are like a wonderland. Once you walk in, in particular early night, you will see all horny hunks taking a shower facing out without closing the curtain. Some are religiously spanking their own naughty monkeys. It is so amazing that every plastic curtain at the shower stall has a hole as big as human’s heads. No need to be voyeuristic because those hunks love to show off.

However, compare to New York Sport Club (NYSC) steam room stories, Crunch steam room is like a church. NYSC steam rooms are so notorious for their steam room that look and feel like a small bath house, in particular, the one in Chelsea. To join the gym there is like to join a life-time membership for a bath house. Some people just go there to get off not to work out.

But I just wonder why NYSC steam rooms are still in the business while the ones in Crunch are shut down.

Wal-Mart Effect

Calais is a very small town in Maine. It is right at the border between Canada and the U.S. This town is like the white country because I did not see a single minority here even the biggest minority like the Spanish. I was the only minority there.

In that town, the only place that entertains the local people is the Wal-Mart. I think the Wal-Mart itself might be bigger than the whole downtown in Calais.

Wal-Mart is a small shop killer. Everywhere they go, they wipe out small shops because those small shops cannot compete with Wal-Mart’s scale and price, in particular, in the small town where people have cars, no traffic and people tend to do shopping in a big lot than just a small lot but frequent. I believe Wal-Mart has a lesser impact on the bigger city. For instance Boston where the population is bigger, there are more shops and people tend to buy stuff by convenience than price. Also, most of Wal-Marts locate out of the city for a cost reason so people are reluctant to make a trip just to grab a thing or two.

Like other small town, I saw small shops in Calais shut down. I am not sure if it is because of Wal-Mart or the local economy itself. However, I do believe the Wal-Mart effect must play a role to certain degrees. It happens everywhere.

It is arguable that Wal-Mart makes ordinary people’s life better by providing cheap products because by providing cheap products, they squeeze small players out of the market. As a result, it affects the local economy as a whole. Some people are out of jobs and small business shut down. Even though Wal-Mart creates jobs as well, it is very notorious that the jobs they create are the minimum wage job with no benefit.

The Wal-Mart effect is real and scary. Many small communities are against them. Small businesses call it a monopoly. However, it is hard for the government to take a legal action against them because as one of the principles, monopoly is supposed to make consumers pay higher price but Wal-Mart does otherwise.

It is a dilemma. As a consumer, I see the benefits of Wal-Mart but at the cost of those small stores. In the long run, Wal-Mart effect might have a huge implication on the economy, in particular, the local one.

Bar Harbor, Maine

The first trip to Maine, on the way back we stayed over in Bar Harbor (Pronounced Ba Ha Ba). It is such a beautiful town embraced by the ocean.

When you come to Maine, you have to have lobster. The night in Bar Harbor, we started our meal with broiled clams, and then I picked my main course- stuffed lobster. I was so full. I felt like that poor lobster was right at my throat and trying to escape. With one glass of Khalua Colada and one glass of Margarita, my night was done.

I was drunk and barely walked back to the hotel (yeah you can call me a cheap date because I can get drunk just a glass of Cosmo so you go figure). The next thing I knew was when I woke up in the morning with a severe pain in my head.

Then we went to Acadia National Park that located 5 miles from Bar Harbor. We ended up playing amateur golf. It was my first time. I had a blast. Yep, I beat my friend's ass.

Please check my pictures in Bar Harbor out at BAR HABOR PHOTO ALBUMS

Two of us

Ten days away from New York City, Ten days of moving and packing, Ten days without gym, seven days of junk food, forty eight hours on the road, three trips from Boston to Maine, six night of deprived sleep, three nights in a small motel and my whole body is aching now.

Finally my ten days marathon moving is over. But it is worth of my energy and exhaustion.

I have known my best friend for 3 years. Destiny connected the dot between us one night when I was about to move out of Boston to New York City. We had known each other less than a month; he helped me moving from Boston to New York. I was so impressed.

Time flies and it never looks back. Throughout our joint journey, our relationship has been up and down like a roller-coaster. We shared thousands of tear, smile and laughter. We shared thousands of miles traveling together.

He is the best thing that comes into my life. I’ve never doubted his love and sincerity that he has given to me.

“Life is like a box of chocolate. You will never know what you are going to get” Forrest Gump.

His father becomes sick with Parkinson disease and barely helps himself. His mother is still healthy but it is too much for someone her age to take care of her husband. My friend decided to move back and take care of his dad.

Once I know his decision. I decided to go to Boston to spend time with him as much as I could. Also, I want to make sure that his moving is going smoothly. It is too much for him to do everything by himself given his family situation and the stress of moving.

I know he is so confused. To abandon his freedom, independence and life for taking care of his sick father is not an easy decision. It needs a lot of courage, compassion and sacrifice to do that.

I wonder how many people, in particular, in this individualistic society like the American society are willing to sacrifice their life and move back to such a rural area that the downtown is smaller than 5x5 blocks.

I always remind him of his immeasurably good cause that he is doing. I would do the same thing if my mom were in the same situation. But I know it's very hard to face that fact that the area he is moving to is deadly quiet. I went there three times. I could not imagine what I would do if I had to move there. Nothing really. I could not even use my cell phone there. In winter, the temperature will go down below zero but the snow will pile up more than 20 inches.

It sucks that after 15 years of moving away, he has lost touch with his friends around that area. Plus, most of them already have family and kids anyway.

But I am very proud of him.

Today I have to say goodbye not only to my best friend but also to my son- Fiendly.

Fiendly is a very friendly and gorgeous cat. He is the first cat that tames my fear of animal. He is also the first cat (or I would say animal) that I dared to carry around.

I think Fiendly is so confused as well because we are moving all stuff and sometimes I have to put him in the bathroom for fearing of him running away. I really feel that he is afraid of being abandoned by my friend. I have to assure him that we will never leave him behind.

I will miss both of them dearly.

I am so sad but I do realize this is a fact of life. One day we will all have to say goodbye to each other anyway.

I have tattooed those memories in my life. I will always remember those precious times I had either good or bad. I know I will see him again sometimes in the future.

Sometimes, goodbye might not be the end of the journey, but it might be a brand new start for something better to come.

Two of us have stories that longer than the road we have been through.
